Three weeks ago, I was still doing edits and wondering if my book would really be published. Life was rocking along as usual. Then boom...life changed for all of us. In isolation with my hubby, I had plenty of time to work on edits. Two days ago, my book was published. I want to thank everyone who purchased The Counselor's Daughter. I expected that a few of my friends and former students would buy a copy, but I am overwhelmed at the response. Thank you for being so supportive. I will say again that this is a family friendly, faith-based book that can be read aloud, a great quarantine pass time. I cannot be grateful enough to my publisher, DWB Publishing, and my editor, Debbie Ropollo. What patience they had with this first time author!
But, the blessings just continue to roll in. God is good. We have learned to eat leftovers. That is pretty good for two old fogies who were in the habit of eating out most of the time. We practically had our own fireside table at Cracker Barrel. I am getting the opportunity to try new recipes and digging up old ones. I have my sewing machine out to make masks, and now a lot of other projects are coming to mind. I used to make beautiful Bible covers. I am doing that again. I have learned to shop for groceries online at Walmart. Wow, they do all the work and put them in the back of my CRV in two minutes. It was a learning curve. I learned that one in an order does not mean one pound. Today, I got one apple and one banana in my order. LOL I made a new friend, Will, a young man who brings the groceries to my car. He is so kind and respectful, and grateful to still have a job. There are great young people out there in spite of what you hear on TV about millennials and Gen X and Z. I hope you are finding some COVID-19 Quarantine blessings!
