I have this thing about plastic Walmart bags, Dollar General bags, Dollar Tree bags. I just can't throw them away. It seems so wasteful. It has been a running joke in our family for a long time. I threw them all away once, and of course, instantly regretted it. Right now, hanging on a nail in my garage, I have at least two, maybe three, of those large expandable trash can bags filled with them. Here's the kicker. Everyone in my family has suddenly discovered that they are wonderful. You can stick your hand inside one of those plastic bags and use it like a disposable glove. I get my mail with one every day. Then, I just turn it inside out and leave the mail inside until I know it is safe, seventy hours at max they say.
I have been remembering all those cottage cheese cartons my mother had in her kitchen cabinet, the ones we used to tease her about. I'm thinking they would be pretty nice right now for storing and keeping sanitary the face masks I am making. I guess everything that goes around comes around. Now, everyone wants a share of my stash. Of course, I am glad to share, and it feels pretty nice to say, "I told you so!"
